By Volkswagen is set to launch an off-road version of the 6th generation Polo hatchback in Brazil, named the Polo Robust. Based on the entry-level “Track” version, the Polo Robust is designed to cater to the needs of farmers, offering enhanced ground clearance and a suspension upgrade for better off-road capabilities. Priced at BRL 89,290 (approximately Rs. 15 lakh in Indian currency), the Polo Robust aims to tap into the demand for affordable hatchbacks with slight off-road prowess in Latin markets.

The Polo Robust comes equipped with two accessory kits. The first kit includes vinyl seat covers, floor mats, and a front grill protector, while the second kit adds a trailer hitch and a boot mat to the mix. The primary highlight of the Robust variant is its raised ride height and upgraded suspension which help prevent underbody scraping on rough terrains.
Powertrain
