Jeep Wrangler Price Rises by Rs 2 Lakh in October 2023

In the midst of the ongoing festive season, Jeep India has introduced another price increase for its iconic off-roader, the Jeep Wrangler. This marks the third price hike in 2023 for both of its variants: Unlimited and Rubicon, making the legendary SUV dearer by an additional Rs 2 lakh. Here’s a breakdown of the updated variant-wise pricing for the Jeep Wrangler:

Price

Unlimited

  • Old Price: Rs 60.65 lakh
  • New Price: Rs 62.65 lakh
  • Difference: + Rs 2 lakh

Rubicon

  • Old Price: Rs 64.65 lakh
  • New Price: Rs 66.65 lakh
  • Difference: + Rs 2 lakh

Both the Unlimited and Rubicon variants have seen a uniform price increase of Rs 2 lakh. While Jeep hasn’t officially disclosed the reasons behind this price adjustment, it’s likely due to escalating input costs, which are being passed on to consumers. Notably, the Jeep Wrangler is a locally-assembled model.

Key Features & Safety

The Jeep Wrangler continues to offer a rich set of features, including an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, push-button start/stop, and dual-zone climate control. Safety features encompass front and side airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, hill descent control, rear parking camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Powertrain & Drivetrain

Under the hood, the Wrangler houses a potent 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 268PS and 400Nm of torque. This power is seamlessly managed by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler proudly offers full-time 4-wheel drive (4WD) as standard, while the Rubicon variant takes it a step further with locking front and rear differentials and an electronic sway bar disconnect system.

Other Jeep Updates

In recent news, Jeep has unveiled the Black Shark and Overland editions of the Compass and Meridian models. These SUVs have also become more budget-friendly.

Competition

Jeep’s off-road enthusiast’s dream, the Wrangler, faces off against the Land Rover Defender in India. However, it’s worth noting that the Wrangler is exclusively offered as a 5-seater SUV with removable roof and door panels. The Jeep Wrangler 2023 continues to impress with its off-road capabilities, advanced features, and iconic design, albeit with the recent price adjustment in the midst of the festive season. Jeep lovers and adventure seekers will still find it a compelling choice in the SUV segment.
