Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is Back – MY2024 Makes Official Debut!

The popular Japanese middleweight motorcycle has been re-launched in the UK after a two-year hiatus. The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is a new and updated version of the popular Supersport motorcycle.

It features a number of new and improved components. The most noticeable change to the 2023 ZX-6R is the new front end. The LED headlight has been redesigned and now looks more in line with Kawasaki’s current Ninja lineup. It’s topped by a transparent visor. Completing the 6R’s sporty demeanour are clip-on handlebars and sharp bodywork.

Kawasaki has also made a number of other changes to the ZX-6R for 2024. The bike now gets a new 4.3-inch TFT display that offers improved visibility and is Bluetooth-compatible. The system allows riders to receive call and SMS notifications, as well as navigation updates.

Other changes to the 2024 ZX-6R include a new ECU, revised suspension settings, and a new exhaust system. The bike is also now equipped with Kawasaki’s KTRC traction control system. The 2024 ZX-6R will be available in Lime Green/Ebony and Metallic Graphite Gray/Metallic Diablo Black. It will be available for purchase in October 2023 and will start at £10,599 (Rs 11 lakh, direct conversion).

The latest generation of the Kawasaki ZX-6R is powered by a 636cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine that meets Euro 5 emissions standards. The engine produces 128 horsepower and 69 Newton meters of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The ZX-6R also features a quick-shifter, which allows the rider to shift gears without using the clutch. It is not yet known whether the quick-shifter is bi-directional, meaning it can be used for upshifts and downshifts, or if it is only for upshifts.

Kawasaki has equipped the Ninja ZX-6R with a fully adjustable suspension system, consisting of Showa USD front forks and a rear shock. The braking system is equally impressive, with dual 310mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc, all of which are equipped with dual-channel ABS. The ZX-6R rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 tires, which provide excellent grip and handling.
