Mahindra Thar 4×2 LX Model Price Increased In India By Rs 50,000!

The prices for the rear-wheel drive Thar were made public in January 2023 by Mahindra. It is in high demand across the country at the moment. Mahindra offers the Thar RWD in LX petrol AT, LX diesel MT variants, and AX (O) diesel MT. Introductory prices at the launch were only applicable to the first 10,000 customers. The price of the LX diesel manual variant has now been increased by Rs 50,000. But the price of the other two variants remains the same. The Mahindra Thar RWD is only available in hardtop form.

Mahindra has begun customer deliveries of the Thar RWD in India. The AX (O) diesel is 6 lakhs less expensive than the base 4WD diesel version (on-road price). Because of the tax advantages associated with the lifestyle off-road SUV under four metres long and run by a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder D117 diesel engine produces 117 HP and 300 Nm of peak torque. It is only linked to a six-speed manual transmission that transfers power to the rear axle. The RWD is also available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder mStallion petrol engine. The engine produces 150 PS and 320 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. 

The Mahindra Thar RWD is available in two new colour schemes: Everest White and Blazing Bronze. It receives no significant exterior changes when compared to the 4WD variant.

The Mahindra Thar RWD comes standard with a 7” touchscreen infotainment system. This infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Thar RWD has a steering wheel with mounted controls, cruise control, and LED DRLs. It also comes with adjustable wing mirrors, a cubby hole in place of the 44 selectors, and a semi-digital instrument console.
