- Total Sales: Cumulative sales for November reached an impressive 1,64,439 units, underlining the brand’s continued dominance in the market.
- Domestic Growth: Domestic car sales exhibited a commendable growth of 1.3% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y), emphasizing Maruti Suzuki’s stronghold in the domestic automotive landscape.
Sales Distribution
- Domestic Sales: The majority of sales were in the domestic market, with 1,36,667 units contributing to the overall figure and this reflects the brand’s enduring popularity among Indian consumers.
- Exports: Maruti Suzuki’s global presence remained robust, with 22,950 units exported to international markets, affirming the brand’s competitiveness on a global scale.
- Sales to Other OEMs: Notably, 4,822 units were sold to other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), highlighting Maruti Suzuki’s role as a key supplier within the automotive industry.
Model-wise Sales
In November, the manufacturer recorded the following sales figures for key models:
- Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Wagon R, and Ciaz: A total of 74,916 units were sold in this category, showcasing the diverse and popular lineup’s consistent appeal.
- Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, S-Cross, XL6, and Eeco: Sales for these models stood at an impressive 59,242 units, highlighting the brand’s success in various segments.
Milestone for Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited (SMG)
In a significant achievement, Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited (SMG) celebrated surpassing the 3 million unit production milestone in India. Having commenced operations in February 2017, SMG achieved this remarkable feat in six years and 11 months. Popular models like the Baleno, Swift, Dzire, Fronx, and Tour S are made at this factory, which has a 7.5 lakh unit yearly production capacity.
