Maruti Suzuki has updated the Brezza SUV for the mid-2023 model year, with a number of changes to the features list and powertrain lineup. One of the biggest changes is the deletion of ESP and Hill Hold Assist from the CNG variants of the Brezza. These features were previously standard on all Brezza models, but Maruti Suzuki has decided to remove them from the CNG variants in order to reduce costs.
However, Maruti Suzuki has added 3-point seatbelts for all five occupants to the Brezza, which should help the SUV improve its safety rating. The front seatbelts also get force limiters and pre-tensioners, and there are seat belt reminder lamps and buzzers for all occupants.
On the powertrain front, Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the 48V mild hybrid system from the manual variants of the Brezza. This system was previously standard on all petrol-powered Brezza models, but it has now been made available only on the automatic variants. The manual variants now use the same 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine as the CNG models, without the mild hybrid system.
Despite the changes to the features list and powertrain lineup, Maruti Suzuki has not revised the prices of the Brezza. The SUV continues to be available in five variants, starting at Rs 8.29 lakh for the LXI MT variant, while the top variant ZXi+ AT is priced at Rs 13.98 lakh. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi.
