The two-door passenger vehicle market in India remains untapped. The MG Comet EV will have no direct competition and a clear route ahead of it. MG will reveal the Comet EV pricing on April 26, 2023. Ahead of the official launch, the MG Comet EV brochure has leaked online.
As we reported earlier, the Wuling Air EV has been renamed the MG Comet EV for the Indian market. Despite its toy-car proportions, the high design allows for plenty of space inside. The MG Comet EV has a 2010mm wheelbase and is 2974mm long, 1505mm wide, and 1640mm tall. With a turning radius of under 4.2m, it is significantly easier to manoeuvre through heavy traffic or into tight parking spaces.
The MG Comet EV has a closed front grille, a full-width LED strip, narrow headlamps, and a notable bumper. There are large doors, sporty alloy wheels, and a flat back end. The MG Comet EV is available in five intriguing colour variations – Apple Green, Candy White, Starry Black, Aurora Silver, and Candy White with a Starry Black roof.
Comet EV has a plethora of cutting-edge features. The digital cluster and two 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment systems steal the show. By linking their devices, customers will be able to access a variety of functions. Users can listen to music, get real-time traffic updates, and weather forecasts, and use turn-by-turn navigation.
There is a widget system that the user can tailor to their specific needs and interests. The driver can use the functions of the vehicle safely thanks to an easy interface from MG Motor. The MG Comet EV is built on the versatile and spacious GSEV platform.
A 17.3 kWh battery with a power output of 42 PS and a peak torque of 110 Nm will power the MG Comet EV. A 3.3 kW charger takes 5 hours to charge from 10% to 80% and 7 hours to charge from 0% to 100%. The advertised range is 230 kilometres. 145/70 tyres are mounted to 12-inch wheels. Drum brakes are located in the rear, while disc brakes are located in the front.
