Honda first introduced the CB350 in September 2020 and it received a positive response from bike enthusiasts in the early months. Later in February 2021, Honda released the CB350 RS, a scrambler version based on the CB350. Despite having two 350cc motorcycles on the market, Honda failed to match the sales number of Royal Enfield.
Honda is preparing to launch a new motorcycle in the 350cc segment tomorrow to boost sales. Honda has chosen to compete with RE, and this new motorcycle is expected to grow its chances in this market.
The motorcycle, likely to be called the Honda CB350 Cafe Racer, has been shown to dealers. It will have a single seat in the Cafe Racer style and it will come with a revised headlamp cowl and black alloy wheels. It will sport a black engine with a chrome Honda logo.
The new Honda CB350 Cafe Racer sports a neo-retro look. Some key features include a round headlamp, a sculpted fuel tank, a single-piece seat, a chrome finish exhaust, alloy wheels, an all-LED setup, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and a USB charging port.
The same engine will power Honda’s 350cc Cafe Racer as the CB350. It is rated at 21.07 PS at 5500 rpm and 30 Nm at 3000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The motorcycle will also share many components with the CB350.
Its cafe racer version could be outfitted with an assist and slipper clutch. It may also come with dual-channel ABS, HSTC, and HSVCS. The instrument panel displays information such as gear position indicator, distance to empty, average mileage, real-time mileage, and battery voltage.
Expect prices to range between Rs 2.15 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh ex-showroom. More information will be released at the launch event tomorrow.
