New Honda Motorcycle To Launch In India Next Week – Report

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is set to unveil a new motorcycle on August 2, 2023. The new motorcycle will compete in the 150-180cc segment in India. HMSI currently has two engines in this displacement class: a 162.7cc engine and a 184.4cc engine. The 162.7cc engine powers the Honda Unicorn 160, while the 184.4cc engine powers the CB Hornet 2.0.

The new motorcycle will likely be powered by one of these two engines. It is expected to have similar performance figures as the existing motorcycles with these engines. The 162.7cc engine in the Honda Unicorn 160 produces 12.73bhp and 14Nm of torque. The 184.4cc engine in the CB Hornet 2.0 produces 17.03bhp and 16.1Nm of torque.

The new motorcycle is expected to be priced between Rs. 1.10 lakh and Rs. 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be launched closer to the festive season, which will begin in a few weeks.

The new motorcycle will be an important product for HMSI. It will help the company to expand its presence in the 150-180cc segment, which is one of the most popular segments in India. HMSI is also expected to launch a new adventure motorcycle and the updated CB300R in the coming months. These motorcycles will further strengthen HMSI’s lineup in the 150-250cc segment.
