Maruti Suzuki has stated that it will launch a new high-end MPV in the Indian market. This new vehicle, based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, will be available in July 2023. This new MPV will be built at Toyota’s Bidadi plant and sold by Maruti Suzuki. It will be the successor to the present Innova Hycross.
Suzuki-built vehicles such as the Vitara Brezza and the Baleno were rebadged and sold in India as the Toyota Urban Cruiser and the Glanza. Baleno, Ciaz, Ertiga, and Celerio are sold as Toyotas in markets some global markets.
This prospective high-end MPV will be the first Toyota product rebadged in India for Maruti Suzuki. It will be available as the Nexa dealership network’s flagship model. It could have various distinguishing visual features. The front has a distinct grille, as well as a distinct bumper and headlamp design. One of the other visual alterations at the back may be a distinctive tail-lamp design with the Nexa motif.
Anticipate interior colour and trim differences between the two variants. Such as those seen on the Hyryder and Grand Vitara, two recently debuted midsize SUV siblings. The new upcoming premium Maruti MPV will be built on the Toyota TNGA-C platform. The same NA hybrid petrol engines that power the Innova Hycross will power it.
The Innova Hycross has a long waiting list, indicating that it is already a popular vehicle. It is unknown how many of these vehicles Toyota would be able to sell to Maruti due to the recent suspension of top trim bookings due to high demand.
The Jimny would be available in the following month, followed by the Fronx at a price of Rs 7.47 lakh. Maruti will make this premium MPV available by July of this year, with deliveries beginning soon after. Maruti’s Nexa shops will sell all three forthcoming models.
