Yamaha recently demonstrated the 2023 model of the YZF-R3 sports bike to some of the selected dealers at a private event. This implies that the motorcycle will be available in the country soon. So here are a few things that you need to know about this KTM RC 390 rival. When considering purchasing a new bike, the first thing that comes to mind is always the price. The motorcycle was priced at Rs 3.51 lakhs ex-showroom before Yamaha discontinued it back in 2019.
Considering the upgrades the motorcycle has gone through over the years in international countries. When it returns to the Indian market, there may be a price increase. For all the new features, we are expecting an ex-showroom price tag of around Rs 4 lakhs for the latest model of R3.
Yamaha plans to launch the 2023 R3 in India around the holiday season between October and November. Reservations for the same will begin in July.
The design of the 2023 R3 is more aerodynamic than that of the previous iteration. It may not be as forceful as its bigger siblings, but it looks more like the older-gen R1. The motorcycle has a full fairing with split headlamps and an air intake between. Then there’s the split seat configuration with a pointy tail part.
Yamaha has equipped the new model of R3 with an LCD instrument cluster, LED headlamp and tail lamp, and dual-channel ABS. Yamaha R3 will come with upside-down forks that come with golden forks. But, when compared to KTM RC 390 and Ninja 400, the R3 offers enough equipment.
The engine on the Yamaha R3 has not changed much since 2019. A 321cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine will power the Yamaha R3. This engine can generate a max power of 42 hp and a peak torque of 29.4 Nm. The motorbike has upside-down front forks, a mono-shock, and ABS-equipped discs at both ends.
