Polaris India has recently launched the Sportsman 570, its first-ever road-legal product and the brand has categorized it as a tractor. The Polaris Sportsman 570 has been launched at an introductory price tag of INR 7.99 lakh while the price will go all the way up to INR 8.49 lakh across the dealerships at a later stage. The tractor has been specifically designed for aiding in agricultural processes.
Catering to the tractor norms currently valid across India, the brand has limited the top speed of the Sportsman 570 at 60kmph therefore, making it legal to be used on the Indian roads.
Coming to the design language, the brand has offered the tractor with an ATV-inspired outlook though it has been equipped with a factory-installed winch. In addition to this, the Polaris Sportsman 570 features a plough-mount plate at the rear which can be further used to attach various other agricultural accessories like pesticide sprayer, disc harrow, cultivating tools as well as other utility items. Further adding to the convenience on the Polaris Sportsman 570 is a backrest for the pillion.
Commenting on the launch of Sportsman 570, Pankaj Dubey, Polaris India Managing Director said – “We have not been able to get into the Agri segment here in India due to the lack of a road-legal product as farmers tend to consider road-legal options. However, with Polaris Sportsman 570 tractor, we will be making a foray into the segment,”
The all-new road-legal tractor from Polaris is a suitable product for the farmers for tea plantations as well as orchard farming. Powering the Sportsman 570 is a 567cc, 4-stroke, fuel-injected engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 34HP. The brand has offered it a four-wheel-drive system while the ground clearance stands at 280mm.
The Polaris Sportsman 570 is available to the customers with road-side assistance (RSA) from the brand as well as a standard 1-year warranty. Foraying into the farming segment from Polaris is one of the wisest steps that will allow the brand to seek double sales in the Indian markets.
