Porsche India has proudly announced a record-breaking year in terms of sales, with 914 cars sold in 2023. This marks a significant 17 percent increase from the previous year’s sales of 779 units and an impressive 64 percent rise over the sales in 2021. Notably, last year saw the highest number of Taycan deliveries to date, with 113 units hitting the roads, alongside maintaining a strong clientele for the iconic 911 sports coupe, with a record 65 deliveries.
In a reflection of the evolving automotive landscape, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) comprised over 12 percent of Porsche’s sales in India, with 113 units of the Taycan contributing to this segment’s growth. Furthermore, Porsche’s SUV models, the Cayenne and the Macan proved to be popular choices among customers constituting the majority of the sales.
Manolito Vujicic, the brand director of Porsche India expressed his satisfaction with the company’s performance citing 2023 as another robust year for Porsche in India. He emphasized that sales of every Porsche model significantly contributed to the overall success setting a promising benchmark for the year ahead. Looking forward to 2024, Porsche India has ambitious plans including the launch of several new products and the expansion of its retail network.
As part of its expansion strategy, Porsche India is set to inaugurate two new showrooms in Pune and Hyderabad in the first half of 2024, adding to its existing network of eight dealerships across the country.
