Earlier this year, Royal Enfield debuted the flagship Super Meteor 650. It included many first-for-RE technologies. An LED headlamp, USD front forks and a Google-powered Tripper Navigation system. Also the adjustable clutch and brake levers. It is no secret that the company is developing a new 650cc and 450cc offering for India and global markets. We expect that Royal Enfield will introduce more models throughout the year. Since 2020, the Chennai-based firm has released one new 350cc motorcycle yearly.
New-Gen Royal Enfield Bullet 350
The new-gen Bullet 350 is slated to arrive in the following months, with many changes. A new 349cc air+oil-cooled OHC engine will replace the UHC 346cc engine. It will share many features with the Classic 350 outfitted with a J series engine. This motor produces a max power of 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm with a 5-speed transmission. The new Bullet 350 might be priced like the Hunter 350. And it may remain the retro bike maker’s entry-level offering. The 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will be built on the same twin cradle chassis.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
Royal Enfield has tested an all-new adventure touring machine that will sit atop the existing Himalayan 411 on public roads. It is scheduled to make its debut in the second half of this year, competing with the KTM 390 Adventure. It is expected to be priced at about Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom). A new 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine will power the RE Himalayan 450. This engine can produce a max power output of roughly 40 horsepower.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650
While Royal Enfield has many 650cc motorcycles in the works, a scrambler, an adv, and a faired GT 650, the production-spec SG650 might make its global premiere later this year at the EICMA 2023 exhibition. It will share many characteristics with the Super Meteor. That includes the 648cc parallel twin-cylinder engine as well.
