Royal Enfield To Enter A New Era With Himalayan 450 ADV – Here’s Why

Royal Enfield is working on many new motorcycles across many segments and price ranges. To name a few, new 350cc, 450cc, and 650cc machines are in the works by Royal Enfield. The CEO of RE has also confirmed that electric motorcycles and concepts are also been developed behind the scenes. Royal Enfield is expected to bring a variety of new motorcycles into the global market.

Of all the upcoming bikes by RE, the Himalayan 450 is the most anticipated for various reasons. This dual-purpose adventure tourer will go up against KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G310 GS. Royal Enfield might offer this bike at a competitive price, starting at around 2.60 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Himalayan 450 is expected to make its global debut this year before going on sale.

This upcoming adventure bike will become the first bike in the all-new 450cc range for RE. This bike will lead to a number of new additions in the future to this new lineup. A roadster based on the 450cc platform is rumoured to make its way by next year. RE is focusing on its development so it can compete against the upcoming Harley-Davidson X440 and Triumph Speed 400.

The upcoming 450cc bike will also be the first RE to come with a liquid-cooled engine. It is expected to produce a max power of around 40 HP. The new Himalayan might be built on a lighter architecture with greater stability. It will enable better handling and agility compared to Himalayan 411.

The upcoming Himalayan is expected to come with a host of new features. It might include a new digital instrument console, USD front forks with longer travel, and off-set mono-shock suspension. It might be offered with all LED headlamps, LED taillamps, and LED indicators. This would make it the very first non-650cc Royal Enfield to come with such a feature list. It is also expected to come with the slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS system as standard.

The upcoming Himalayan 450 will be a versatile adventure tourer that will cater to the growing demand for such motorcycles in India. It will come with a range of optional accessories that will allow riders to customize it to their specific needs, whether they are touring on the highway or exploring off-road trails.
