By Royal Enfield is planning to launch a new power cruiser in India and international markets. The motorcycle, which is codenamed K1D, is inspired by the Ducati Diavel. A new 450cc single-cylinder engine and 6-speed transmission are projected to power it.
The K1D is expected to have a similar design to the Ducati Diavel and Benelli 502C, with swept-back handlebars, a low seat, and a relaxed riding position. It is also likely to have upside-down forks and a slipper clutch.
The 450cc engine is expected to produce a max power of around 40 bhp and 45 Nm of peak torque. The K1D is also expected to have a fully-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Pricing for the K1D is expected to start at around Rs 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is expected to be launched in the Indian markets in 2025.
