Skoda Enyaq iV to Debut in India at Bharat Mobility Expo 2024

Skoda is gearing up to make a significant impact in India’s electric vehicle (EV) landscape with the highly expected launch of the Enyaq EV. The Enyaq which is scheduled to make its debut later this year, will be Skoda’s first dedicated Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). It is expected to create a big impression at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show signifying a significant turning point for the Czech automaker.

Key Features and Highlights

The Skoda Enyaq is slated to be introduced in its top-spec All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant offering a comprehensive array of features and amenities. Drawing inspiration from its global counterpart launched in 2022, the Indian variant of the Enyaq is expected to boast advanced technologies such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a sophisticated 360-degree camera system, dual-digital displays for enhanced connectivity and infotainment, and premium leatherette upholstery. Sharing many features with its sister vehicle, the ID4 GTX, the Enyaq aspires to set new benchmarks in the EV category with a focus on providing a luxury driving experience.

Range and Performance

In line with the evolving demands of Indian consumers, the Skoda Enyaq is anticipated to offer an impressive electric range of approximately 500-550 kilometers, ensuring ample range for both urban commuting and long-distance travel. Select variations of the Enyaq now come with an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) configuration which further improves the vehicle’s performance and versatility to meet the wide range of demands of discriminating Indian consumers.

Charging Infrastructure and Future Plans

As part of its commitment to fostering the adoption of electric mobility in India, Skoda is expected to unveil its comprehensive EV charger plan alongside the Enyaq’s showcase at the Bharat Mobility Show. With this program Skoda is demonstrating its proactive approach to developing a strong charging infrastructure to accommodate the nation’s expanding EV fleet. Furthermore, Enyaq may open the door for the creation of the company’s first MEB platform-enabled plant in India given the possibility of local assembly at Skoda’s Aurangabad plant in the future. Skoda’s long-term objective of employing sustainable production methods would be in line with this.
