Solo Trip from Hyderabad to Delhi: Solo drivers have always been intriguing, from covering so many kilometres in a small amount of time, undertaking so many uncertainties and understanding the art of driving on Indian Highways, something not everyone can understand.
That’s why the one who are successful to have the pleasure of finding themselves amidst the roads, solo in their vehicles powered with so much zen and enthusiasm, need their story to be told and such is the case of Shashank Bhardwaj, who took a solo trip from Hyderabad to Delhi NCR in just 27 hours in his Maruti Suzuki Swift (UP14 CU 7762).
He started his journey from the Hitech city in Hyderabad at 5.19 PM and covered a distance of 200 kms towards Nagpur before a little tea break. He had covered 250 kms near 11.30 PM and had beautifully captured a time lapse picture of the views.
Somewhere around 2 PM, he reached Nagpur city and planned to take a stroll of the beautiful place which was later cancelled due to construction work being going on the roads. Not being tired, he decided to move on with the journey and planned on staying in Sagar, a town somewhat 380 kms from Nagpur.
Amidst his journey from Pangdi in MP to a little Ghat for capturing some pictures and then again to Chhindwara (MP) for the Hanuman temple visit, he sure did make some epic location memories in the solitude of his own company.
He travelled further to a beautiful ghat road in Budhen and Hadai in MP and further decided to surpass Sagar with just a cup of coffee. Though, he couldn’t stay at Lalitpur with his friend, he decided to move further after breakfast and reached Mathura at 5 PM after crossing Jhansi.
He then followed his route on EASTERN EXPRESSWAY from Palval to Greater Noida and reached Ghaziabad, his home at 8.30 PM. The Google maps showed 26 hours of established time to cover a distance of Hyderabad to Delhi NCR and Shashank managed to cover it in 27 hours to be exact which is quite an accomplishment.
Though, the hurdles were plenty but the thrill of beating your own records is something incomparable and out of the world. Shashank’s first epic solo journey have motivated him to uncover more depths on the road and he is planning his next solo trip from India to Thailand by road as well as looking for some sponsors for his another India to Europe solo road trip.
