Tata Motors has been diligently testing its much-anticipated Curvv SUV, which is set to rival models like the Hyundai Creta. The test mule for the Curvv has been spotted more frequently lately, and the most recent pictures appear to indicate that the Coupe SUV is getting closer to being ready for production.
Exterior Highlights
At the front, the Tata Curvv presents a striking appearance and it features a raised bonnet with muscular creases, reminiscent of the Nexon EV. Especially impressive are its full-length LED daytime running lights (DRLs) which double as indicators and the car has a striking split headlight design and a two-layer grille with horizontal slats.
On the sides, the Curvv is expected to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels, complemented by chunky wheel arches. The coupe-like roofline gracefully merges into the rear profile. A-pillar mounted outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), flush-fitting door handles, a shark-fin antenna, and linked LED taillights with a sequential illumination feature are a few more notable characteristics.
Interior Sophistication
Continuing Tata’s trend of modern and luxurious interiors, the Curvv is likely to come equipped with a host of advanced features. These may include a spacious 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, and a touch-sensitive HVAC panel with physical controls for select functions. In addition, creature luxuries including a sunroof, auto-dimming interior rearview mirrors (IRVMs), heated front seats, an air purifier, a wireless charger, and a 360-degree surround-view camera are anticipated to be available on the SUV.
Powertrain Options
The Curvv is set to debut initially in its electric avatar, followed by the internal combustion engine (ICE) version. It is anticipated to be powered by a new petrol engine showcased at the Auto Expo, along with a 1.5-liter diesel mill. Positioned between the Nexon and the Harrier in Tata’s lineup, the Curvv will enter the highly competitive segment and take on rivals such as the Citroen C3 Aircross, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and MG Astor.
In order to meet the varied needs of the SUV market the Tata Curvv is anticipated to provide a combination of elegant design, cutting-edge technology, and engine options. It’s a much-awaited addition to Tata’s range and will probably have a big effect on the very competitive small SUV market.
