Meet Tata INTRA: India’s First Feature-Rich & Powerful Compact Truck

Tata Motors with the aim to strengthen their hold in the Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) segment has launched the all-new Tata INTRA compact truck at a starting price tag of INR 5,35,000 (Ex-Showroom India). Designed with class-leading features as well as evolved for meeting the growing demands in the SCV industry, the Tata INTRA is known to offer excellent performance.

According to the brand, the new compact truck has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the new age informed customers that are looking for higher revenues, better performance yet low ownership cost. The rugged and powerful Tata INTRA is based on Tata Motor’s new premium truck design philosophy. It features an ergonomic car-like interior design with low noise and plush seats, capable of offering utmost comfort during the long trips.

Customers can avail the Tata INTRA in two variants namely: V10 and V20. Both the variants have been equipped with powerful and fuel-efficient diesel engines. All set to dominate the market, the INTRA V10 features a powerful 798cc DI engine capable of offering a maximum power figure of 40.2 HP and an utmost torque of 96 Nm while the 1396cc DI engine equipped on the INTRA V20 is good for 70 HP of power and a maximum torque of 140 Nm. Both the diesel engine variants are mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The higher variants of the compact truck also feature HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air-Conditioning), LED tail lights, colour coordinated interiors as well as a music system. The powertrain has been specifically designed to enhance its fuel efficiency even in the long trips while the power steering system with a short turning radius offers easy manoeuvrability on the congested roads.
