Tata Motors has proudly announced a major milestone today: the Tata Nexon, their popular compact SUV, has reached an impressive production mark of 600,000 units. This accomplishment not only demonstrates the Nexon’s continued appeal in the Indian auto industry but also demonstrates Tata Motors’ commitment to building cars that appeal to consumers.

Surpassing the 600,000-unit production milestone further cements its position as a top choice among Indian car buyers and the success of the Nexon can be attributed to its continuously evolving features which keep it ahead in terms of safety, performance, and technology.
Variants and Features of Tata Nexon
The Tata Nexon facelift is available in four main trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless, which are then divided into 11 variants: Smart, Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+, Creative+ S, Fearless, Fearless+, and Fearless+ S. The ‘S’ indicates variants with a sunroof, and the ‘+’ variants offer an optional package.
Starting with the Nexon Smart, the base variant is priced at Rs 8.10 lakh and is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Even in this base trim, the company offers six airbags along with ESC and hill hold assist. The Nexon Smart also features three drive modes (Eco, City, and Sport), front power windows, rear parking sensors, manual air conditioning, central locking, LED lamps at the front and rear, a two-spoke steering wheel with tilt and telescopic steering, a vanity mirror on the co-driver side, and a power outlet on the floor console.
The Nexon Smart+ is priced at Rs 9.10 lakh and comes with the same engine as the Smart trim. Additionally, it includes features like all power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and infotainment via a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and four speakers. Moving up, the Nexon Smart+S, priced at Rs 9.70 lakh, adds auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a voice-assisted electric sunroof, and roof rails.
The Tata Nexon Pure, priced between Rs 9.70-11 lakh (ex-showroom), is available with a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine, both paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Additional features include an LED strip on the tailgate, Bi-Function LED headlamps, LED X Factor tail lamps, follow-me-home headlamps, rear AC vents, touch-based HVAC controls, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster, and voice commands. The Nexon Pure S, priced from Rs 10.20 – 11.50 lakh, offers the same engine lineup as the Pure trim but adds a voice-assisted electric sunroof and anti-glare IRVMs.
Innovative and Fearless Tata Nexon
Moving to the top-spec variants, the Creative trim, priced from Rs 11-13 lakh, is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engine paired with 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT transmissions. Features include sequential LED DRLs and tail lamps, R16 alloy wheels, rear wiper and washer, height-adjustable driver seat, keyless go, a cooled glove box, a 17.78 cm digital instrument cluster, a 17.78 cm touchscreen infotainment system with four speakers and two tweeters, automatic climate control, and a reverse camera.
The Nexon Creative+, priced at Rs 12.20 -14.30 lakh, includes front parking sensors, blind view monitor, cruise control, a 360-degree camera, auto-dimming IRVMs, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Creative+S variant adds a voice-assisted electric sunroof and height-adjustable seat belts for both driver and co-passenger.
The Nexon Facelift Fearless, priced from Rs 12.50-14.60 lakh, adds sequential LED DRLs and tail lamps with welcome/goodbye signature, fog lamps with cornering, rear defogger, 60:40 split seats at the rear, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, front central armrest, wireless charger, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation along with four tweeters and four speakers. The Fearless+S variant of the Nexon includes a height-adjustable front passenger seat, ventilated front seats, Benecke Kaliko leatherette seating, JBL speakers, a subwoofer, OTA software updates, weather updates, emergency and breakdown call assistance, and an iRA connected feature with E-call and B-call. The Nexon Fearless S comes with a voice-assisted sunroof. An infotainment system with a 26.03 cm SLIM bezel touchscreen is used for entertainment.
