Triumph Speed 400 Service Cost Less Than Royal Enfield Classic 350 – Report

Bajaj-Triumph recently launched its first motorcycle, the Speed 400 in India. The motorcycle is priced at Rs. 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom), which is only Rs. 8,000 more than the most expensive Royal Enfield 350cc bike. The Speed 400 offers twice as much power and a plethora of features and equipment than the Royal Enfield J-Series 350cc lineup. It also comes with a longer service interval of 10,000 miles (16,093 km).

Bajaj-Triumph claims that the service cost of the Speed 400 will be lower than that of the Royal Enfield 350cc bikes. This is a major advantage for the Speed 400, as one of the biggest complaints about Royal Enfield bikes is their high maintenance costs.

The Speed 400 is powered by a 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 39.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle has a top speed of 160 km/h. The Speed 400 comes with a host of features, including a full-LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, alloy wheels, disc brakes on both wheels and a digital instrument cluster. It also gets a 2-year or unlimited kilometre warranty.

The Speed 400 is a great option for those looking for a stylish and powerful motorcycle with lower maintenance costs. It is a direct rival to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.

Here are some additional details about the service cost of the Speed 400:

  • The first service/checkup will be due at 1,000 miles (1,609 km).
  • The second service will be due at 10,000 miles (16,093 km).
  • The third service will be due at 20,000 miles (32,186 km).
  • The fourth service will be due at 30,000 miles (48,280 km).
  • The fifth service will be due at 40,000 miles (64,372 km).

The service cost of the Speed 400 is expected to be lower than that of the Royal Enfield 350cc bikes. However, the exact cost will vary depending on the service centre and the parts that need to be replaced.
