In the next few months, the entry-level premium bike industry in India will see a rush of debuts from worldwide heavyweights and domestic titans. Below is a list of the bikes scheduled to arrive:
Next-gen 2024 KTM 390 Duke
The next-gen KTM 390 Duke is one of the most anticipated bikes on the market. It is expected to get a significant overhaul, including a new engine, chassis, and styling. The new 390 Duke is also expected to be more powerful and feature-rich than the current model.
New Yamaha YZF-R3 and MT-03
Yamaha is also set to launch the R3 and MT-03 in India. These bikes are powered by a 321cc parallel-twin engine that produces 42 bhp and 29 Nm of torque. The R3 is a fully-faired sports bike, while the MT-03 is a naked streetfighter.
Bajaj-Triumph Motorcycles
Bajaj and Triumph are jointly developing a range of motorcycles that will be sold in India and other markets. The first bike from this partnership will be a 250cc adventure motorcycle. It is expected to be available for purchase in the following months.
Hero-Harley X440 Motorcycle
Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson are also working on a range of motorcycles that will be sold in India. The first bike from this partnership will be a 440cc roadster. In the upcoming months, it is anticipated to launch, most probably in July this year.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Roadster 450
Royal Enfield is also working on a range of new motorcycles, including a 450cc Himalayan and a 450cc roadster. These bikes are expected to be launched in the next few months.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 and Scrambler 650
Royal Enfield presently offers three models powered by the twin-cylinder 650cc engine, but there are many more on the way. The Shotgun 650 should satisfy those who desire a sportier cruiser than the laid-back Super Meteor 650, while the 650cc scrambler should satisfy those who want to stray off the beaten road.
Aprilia RS 440
The Aprilia RS 440 is a much-needed product for the company, bridging the gap between entry-level scooters and the ultra-premium superbikes supplied by the Noale-based company. This will also be the first Aprilia motorbike produced exclusively in India. While we know this bike will be released in the coming months, there’s a high chance it will cost more than Rs 4 lakh.
These are just a few of the many upcoming bikes that are sure to be popular in India. With so many great options, buyers are sure to be spoilt for choice.
