The new MY2023 Xtreme 160R 4V has been introduced by Hero MotoCorp in India on June 14. The most notable changes in the new Xtreme 160R 4V are the addition of a 37mm KYB USD fork and Showa mono-shock, a more powerful 4-valve engine, and a couple of cosmetic changes.
The new golden 37mm KYB USD forks are a significant upgrade over the standard telescopic fork found on the previous Xtreme 160R. The USD fork is only available on the top-spec Pro variant, while the Standard and Connected variants make do with telescopic forks.
The bike comes with an adaptable single-seat or split-seat configuration. The tank extensions are longer and angular, giving the motorcycle a more aggressive look. It also receives a dual-tone paint job and a new full-LED headlamp. The revised Hero Xpulse 200 4V’s switchgear is identical to the new switchgear, which is more upscale than the previous model.
The air-cooled, single-cylinder, 163cc engine now has an oil cooler as well. A more contemporary 4-valve head is also included. This produces 16.9 hp at 8,500 rpm and 14.5 Nm at 6500 rpm, which is an increase of 1.7hp over the 2-valve Xtreme 160R.
The MY2023 Hero Xtreme 160R gets a Bluetooth-enabled negative LCD with call and notification alerts. It is also available with accessories including a single seat, phone mount, bar end mirrors, and more.
Hero offers three versions of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The Standard variant is priced at Rs 1,27,300, the Connected at Rs 1,32,800, and the Pro version at Rs 1,36,500.
- The standard model has a single seat and telescopic forks.
- The connected variant comes with Bluetooth connectivity.
- The range-topping Pro variant comes with the USD fork, split-seat setup, and striking dual-tone colours.
The Xtreme 160R 2V will stay on sale alongside this new bike and is priced between Rs 1,18,886 to Rs 1,30,008 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Xtreme 160R 4V is priced higher than its competitors, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Bookings for the Xtreme 160R 4V open today and deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second week of July 2023.
