?Volvo Car India is now accepting bookings for the XC40 Recharge Single, a new version of the electric SUV that was introduced last month. It costs Rs. 54.95 lakh (excluding taxes), and you can reserve yours starting today (March 19) for Rs. 1 lakh. You can only book it through Volvo’s official website.
This electric car is the third one made by Volvo in India, at their factory in Hoskote, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The Single variant has only one electric motor, unlike the top version, which has two motors.
The XC40 Recharge Single comes with a 69kWh battery and a single electric motor that powers the rear wheels. It can produce 238bhp and 420Nm of torque. This car can go from 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds and can travel up to 475km on a full charge, according to WLTP standards.
As for features, the new XC40 Recharge Single has a leather-free interior, LED headlights, air purifier, rearview camera, blind-spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, ADAS suite (advanced driver-assistance systems), seven airbags, and wireless charging for smartphones.
