Watch Out Hyundai Creta & Kia Seltos – Honda Elevate Is Coming!

Honda has unveiled the name “Elevate” for its next midsize SUV, confirming an earlier claim. On June 6, the new Honda Elevate will make its international debut in India. By August 2023, the vehicle will go on sale. It will be a brand-new SUV that will initially go on sale in India and then be exported from there to other countries.

The Honda Elevate would be comparable in length to the segment, measuring between 4.2 and 4.3 metres. It is believed that the Honda Elevate will be built on the same platform as the 5th-gen City sedan, which is now available in India.

The 1.5-litre 4-cylinder NA petrol engine will be used, as is only to be expected, although the precise state of the tune has not yet been determined. For comparison, this engine’s city output is 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual and a CVT are gearbox choices that most likely won’t change.

It’s anticipated that the petrol engine will be the only option at launch, with the City’s hybrid powertrain likely to join the lineup later. The Elevate won’t have a diesel engine option.

The Elevate has already been seen testing on our roads a few times. Though each sighting was camouflaged, it is anticipated that the SUV will continue to take design cues from Honda’s global lineup of SUVs. It could mean that it was influenced by the BR-V and HR-V currently on the market in other countries.

There are currently few inside specifics but it may share several design elements with the City. A 10.2-inch free-standing touchscreen, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and Honda’s ADAS package may be some of the features.

The price for the Elevate will be revealed by August 2023, albeit it is anticipated to cost more than its competitors. Up to 8,000 of these SUVs will be produced each month in India by Honda, with the majority being exported.
