Sales Report: Top 10 Best-Selling Scooters in September 2019

Finally a good month for the manufacturers in India’s scooter segment. The list of top 10 best-selling scooters in September 2019 witnessed an overall increase in sales for the major scooter brands in the Indian market. Though the yearly growth registered a minimal decline in sales by 12% when compared to the same month last year, the results are far better for September 2019 when compared to August 2019.

As usual, taking the first spot on the list is Honda Activa, being able to witness a total of 2,48,939 units in September 2019. The brand witnessed a total decline in sales by 12.59% when compared to 2,84,809 units sold in the same month last year. The second scooter on the list is TVS Jupiter, being able to register a total of 69,049 units in September 2019. The brand has registered a total increase in sales by 19,36% when compared to August 2019 though the yearly sales did witness a decline by 23.87%.

The Suzuki Access and Honda Dio have been able to register third and fourth spot on the list of top 10 best-selling scooters by registering a total of 50,162 and 38,752 units respectively. Following shortly is the TVS NTorq, being able to record a total of 27,814 units in September 2019 though the overall yearly decline stands at 33.59% when compared to the same month last year.

Next on the list is Hero Pleasure and Hero Maestro, registering a total of 20,425 and 14,191 units respectively in September 2019. The scooters have registered an increase in total sales by 25.25% and 11.53% respectively, when compared to the total sales registered in August 2019. Next on the list of top 10 best-selling scooters is the Yamaha Fascino, Yamaha Ray and Hero Destini, registering a total of 13,124 units, 10,208 units and 9,982 units respectively.
