Mahindra Mojo is moving through a tough phase, getting just 5 buyers in November 2018. The number is falling since the launch, and now, the report of Jawa bikes further ended the interest of buyers in this unique tourer. Every product from the Mahindra two-wheeler lineup is falling in the same manner, with Gusto and Centuro also facing the same conclusion. The introduction of Jawa 300 and Forty-Two, both bikes powered by the Mojo-inspired BS6-ready engine, are available for a better price than Mahindra Mojo XT300. Added ABS in the Jawa bikes makes the deal even more mouth-watering.
Mahindra Mojo UT300, the INR 1.50 lakh worth Mojo, lacks power and use none of the premium equipment available on the XT variant. Jawa Forty-Two is available for INR 1.55 lakh and comes with the addition of fuel injection, 2-channel ABS and retro-styling over the normal package. Mahindra Mojo UT300 comes with single exhaust, carburettor-fed engine, and normal MRF tyres. In November 2017, the Mojo was good for just 29 units. It seems like Mahindra is planning to leave the two-wheeler business and could convert their Mojo dealerships into Jawa branded stores in coming weeks.
