The list featuring the top 15 sedans in January 2020 is out now and it is being led by Maruti’s compact sedan Dzire. It registered a sales figure of 22,406 units which is 17% more than what it had posted in January last year. Following it is Hyundai’s Xcent with sales of 6,691 units.
Honda City has bagged the fourth position in the list by beating the Hyundai Verna and Maruti’s executive sedan Ciaz. The City sedan posted a sales figure 1,734 units as compared to 957 units of Verna and 835 units of Ciaz. The eighth position in the list has been marked by Skoda Rapid by registering 815 units. Toyota’s Yaris registered an impressive sales figure of 725 units which is 111% more than the sales number posted by the sedan in January 2019.
Ford Aspire compact sedan has not been able to perform well when compared the sales number posted by the car in the same month last year. It was capable to register a sales figure of just 518 units last month. The VW Vento is at the eleventh position in the list of top 15 sedans for January 2020 by registering a sales figure of 250 units.
