Sales Report: Top 25 Best Selling Cars in August 2019

The top 25 best selling cars in August 2019 saw a gradual decline in car sales when compared to the same month last year. Taking the first spot is, as usual, the brand Maruti Suzuki while the recently launched Kia Seltos also made to the list on the 12th spot.

Witnessing a total sales of 13,274 units in August 2019, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been placed on top of the list. Though registering promising sales, the car did see an overall decline in the total units sold by 40%.

Grabbing the second spot on the list is Maruti Swift by registering a total of 12,444 units in August 2019 while witnessing a total decline in sales by 35% when compared to the 19,115 units sold in the same month last year. On the other hand, Maruti WagonR, Baleno, and Alto bagged the third, fourth, and fifth spot on the list.

Hyundai made an entry to the list with Grand i10 by registering a sales figure of 9403 in August 2019 and grabbing the sixth spot on the list of the top 25 best selling cars in August 2019. The year-on-year results for the hatchback witnessed a downfall in sales by 18%.

The all-new Hyundai Venue witnessed a total of sales of 9342 units and grabbed the seventh spot while the recently launched Kia Seltos witnessed a total sales of 6236 units in August 2019. The other new entrants to the market include Renault Triber, Maruti XL6, and Toyota Glanza witnessing total sales of 2490, 2356 and 2322 units respectively in August 2019.
