BS6 Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi has been officially launched by the brand at a starting price tag of INR 66,430 for the standard drum brake variant. The customers can further avail the STD disc brake variant of the scooter at a price tag of INR 68,930 while the DLX disc brake variant can be availed at INR 69,930. The brand has equipped the scooter with a hint of cosmetic and feature updates that sets it apart from the last-gen BS4 Yamaha Fascino.
Coming to the revised styling, the BS6 Yamaha Fascino features a redesigned rear panel with an all-new large tail light unit when compared to the BS4 variant. The scooter will now be available to the customers in two all-new colours: Vivid Red and Cyan Blue. Both the colour variants look splendid with the overall blacked-out body panels.
The brand has further revised the rear end of the Yamaha Fascino with a wider tyre which now measures 110mm. The headlamp and turn indicators remain the same when compared to the BS4 110cc variant of the scooter while the front has been tweaked a bit and now misses on the black air-vents. The addition of subtle chrome further adds to its exclusivity.
The all-new BS6 125cc engine has replaced the 110cc BS4-compliant engine while the bump in the displacement plus the addition of fuel injection technology has increased the power and torque values by a total of 30%. The BS6 Yamaha Fascino 125 is capable to generate a maximum power of 8.2hp and a peak torque of 9.7Nm.
On the other hand, the BS4 113cc engine on the last-gen model of the Fascino was good for 7.2hp of power and 8.1Nm of peak torque. The brand claims a 16% increase in the mileage of the BS6 variant which now stands at 58kmpl. The recently launched BS6 Yamaha Fascino 125 will compete in the market with the likes of Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter, and the Hero Destini 125.
