The design upgrade inspired by the flagship RSV4 motorcycle is the most noticeable difference in the new Aprilia SR 160. The Race Edition of the scooter now gets RS-GP inspired graphics, while all variants now feature high-lumen LED headlamps and position lights, a fully digital instrument console, knuckle guards, dual-style seats, a new raised rear grab and wider tubeless tyres on large 14″ alloy wheels. The SR series has a storage capacity of 11 litres, a USB charger, a boot light, and a fuel tank capacity of 6 litres. The Carbon Edition of SR 160 features a carbon finish on some of the body parts to set it apart from the standard model.
The multifunctional digital console displays plenty of information, which includes an RPM meter, an average speed display, a digital fuel indication, 2 trip meters, an odometer, a mileage indication, and more. In terms of mechanical specifications, the SR 125 is powered by a 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine that generates 9.78bhp and 9.70Nm, while the SR 160 is powered by a 160.03cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine producing 10.86bhp and 11.6Nm.
Both models have telescopic front forks and a single rear spring suspension. A disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear perform braking duties. The SR 125 has a combined braking system, whilst the SR 160 has a single-channel anti-lock braking system. While speaking about the offered variants, the new SR 125 will only be offered in one variant. The SR 160, on the other hand, will be available in three different configurations: standard, carbon, and race.
