2023 Honda ADV 160 Premium Scooter Makes Official Debut

2023 Honda ADV 160 Premium Scooter Makes Official Debut

Variations within scooters are a go-to sales strategy with growing demand and cater to a wider audience. Honda ADV 160 is a hybrid of a sporty scooter and an ADV motorcycle. Honda has incorporated ADV elements into this scooter to create something one-of-a-kind. It has been released in Indonesia and has been teased in other ASEAN markets.

Little has changed since the previous model, and this is a good thing because the Honda ADV 160 is already a well-designed product in most ways. Honda appears to have carried over ADV 160 mechanical setup. New colour options and graphics seem to be inspired by Honda’s ADV motorcycle range.

Honda is playing the premium card with the ADV 160, and it comes with a slew of extras to back up its price. The design stands out as well, exuding a premium vibe.

It’s a maxi scooter with ADV features like block pattern tyres for max traction. The front apron is dominated by a twin LED headlight design reminiscent of the Africa Twin. On top of the headlights are LED DRLs, and above them are LED turn indicators. The front design is completed by a tall adjustable windscreen.

Except for not being a step-through scooter, Honda ADV 160 provides every comfort one can think of. The rider achieves a relaxed riding position, which is beneficial on long stretches of road. A large seat gives the rider enough wiggle room while also providing adequate comfort and support. The 14″ front and 13″ rear wheels add to the comfort.

The 157cc single-cylinder 4V engine produces 16 bhp and 14.7 Nm of torque. Honda Selectable Torque Control ensures max grip and performance with block pattern tyres in a variety of terrains.

Honda ADV 160 has a 240mm disc up front and a 220mm disc in the rear, and Combi Brake System. Showa suspension components should improve the scooter’s riding dynamics while a digital instrument console with blue backlighting comes as standard.

Honda has released the 2023 ADV 160 in Indonesia, with prices starting at IDR 39.25 million (approx Rs 2.14 lakh). It appears that we will have to wait a little longer for ASEAN markets to experience this bike. If it comes to India, it will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155.
