Vespa, the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer, has revealed a new special edition model. This is a special edition of the iconic 946 scooter model for European markets. This is the first of 12 such upcoming Vespa offerings that will be released over the next 12 years. Each one is inspired by the lunar horoscope animal of the year.
While the Vespa 946 looks timeless and stunning in almost any colour scheme, this one is especially funky and charming. The curvy and slick body panels are all dipped in classic Vespa green. Adorned with a rabbit face doodle on the front apron and side panel. Also, there is a green streak on the seat and wheel rims. The seat is double-upholstered and has burnished stitching and hand-sewed handgrips.
This Vespa 946 is powered by a 125cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. This engine produces a max power of 11.39 bhp at 8750 rpm and a peak torque of 9.6 Nm at 7750 rpm. The scooter is outfitted with many modern features. It includes an anti-slip regulator (ASR), traction control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and LED lights. The brakes are handled by 220mm discs at the front and the rear.
The Vespa 946 Bunny special edition will be limited to 1000 pieces, each with its own serial number. Unless Vespa decides to surprise us with something exotic, it is unlikely to visit Indian shores.
