The Taiwanese two-wheeler brand, SYM, has officially unveiled its new maxi-scooter, Joyride 300, at the 2021 EICMA in Milan, Italy. The new scooter is introduced as a replacement for the EVO 200 scooter. For the development of the all-new Joyride 300, the manufacturer used modern design ideas instead of sticking to its conventional maxi-scooter styling.
To begin with, the new Joyride 300 is loaded with a plethora of features. However, the technology used is pretty basic. The bike gets a simple monochromic LCD display and keyless ignition for enhanced comfort. It offers ample storage, such as a front section with a fast-charging USB2.0 slot, as well as under-seat storage for carrying two helmets easily. The windscreen is also two-position adjustable.
The all-new Joyride 300 is powered by a 278.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates 26PS at 8000 rpm and 26Nm at 6000 rpm. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both ends, which are further mated with a dual-channel ABS system. The new SYM scooter rides on 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels. In terms of the scooter’s launch in our country, we can expect it to come here, but not anytime soon.
