Ampere Electric Launches ‘Book Online Now and Pay Later’ Scheme

Ampere Launches ‘Book Online Now and Pay Later’ Scheme: Greaves Cotton Limited-owned Ampere Electric is one of the most popular electric two-wheeler brands in India. The company is working on emission-free mobility for over a decade now. They have a customer base of over 50,000 users along with more than 200 retail outlets across India.

The brand is continuously working on creating affordable and sustainable solutions to India’s growing interest in eco-friendly modes of transport. Currently, India is under a lockdown period because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Indian government has requested the citizens to maintain social distancing due to which Ampere Electric has introduced a ‘Book Online Now and Pay Later’ facility for customers.

Under the scheme, the customers can buy an Ampere electric scooter from anywhere via the Internet by paying a justifiable token amount. The remaining amount can be paid at the time of delivery, which will commence once lockdown ends. Ampere Electric will take measures such as contactless delivery and vehicle sanitization for the safety of the buyers.

A recent data report shows that electric vehicles can save running costs by up to 85-90% compared to conventional petrol or diesel model.

The online booking facility for the scooter is currently available in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, and New Delhi. The most popular scooter by the brand is Apere Zeal. It is powered by a 1.2kWh brushless DC hub motor that is coupled to a portable 1.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The scooter can cover up to 75km on a full charge while it is priced at INR 67,000 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).
