Ather Energy, an Indian Electric Vehicle (EV) firm has inaugurated its new showroom in Chennai by the name ‘Ather Space’. It is the brand’s second showroom to be inaugurated in India after Bangalore. The brand has claimed that their new space is entirely based on the learnings of their Bangalore outlet while is twice in size when compared to it.
Ather Space is located at Wallace Garden Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai. The new showroom has a separate charging space area for recharging the battery packs in addition to a display area for the brand’s electric two-wheeler portfolio. Keeping in mind the learnings of Bangalore outlet, the Ather Space ensures better user experience in addition to an extraordinary design language.
The Ather Space Experience Centre will not only provide the customers with education on electric vehicles but ensures a holistic experience in their synergistic space. It is the second outlet in India where the Ather 340 and Ather 450 electric vehicle are available. The former can be purchased in Chennai at a price tag of INR 1.10 lakh while the latter version is available at INR 1.22 lakh. The difference of INR 8,000 in the price tag of Ather 340 and INR 9,000 in the price tag of Ather 450 when compared to the Bangalore prices exists due to the additional 4% road tax levied by the Tamil Nadu Government.
The Ather 450 can be further availed at the Ather Space with an additional 1 year of Ather One subscription in addition to an unlimited public charging that will last till December 19, 2019, and a home charging point. The Ather 340, on the other hand, will be made available with a charging cable. Ather Energy has 10 charging points in Chennai so far while the brand plans to add more 40-50 charging points in the city for encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles. The firm plans on increasing its foothold in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Pune soon.
Commenting on the inauguration of Ather Space in Chennai, Raveet Pholekha, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, in a statement said, “Our experience centres are places where people can experience the scooters, understand our drive to build high-performance electric vehicles, and be a part of the electric future.
