BattRE, a Jaipur based two-wheeler startup has launched their first ever electric scooter in India at a price tag of INR 63,555 (ex-showroom). For now, the scooter is only available in a limited number of cities across the country. The brand’s main focus is to make available affordable electric scooters that are backed by high-quality service support. In addition to this, the brand is also planning to launch IOT (Internet of Things) connected electric scooter that will have mobile application support in the coming future that will allow the user to access vehicle data online.
Powering the BattRE electric scooter is a 250W BDLC motor that allows the e-scooter to reach a top speed of 25 kmph. The electric scooter has been equipped with a 48V 30Ah lithium-ion battery that is known to cover a claimed range of 90km with just a single charge of the battery. The suspension duties are handled by hydraulic shock absorbers at either end. With a kerb weight of just 65 kgs and a ground clearance of 150mm, the e-scooter is easy to handle on every terrain. In addition to this, the e-scooter also gets disc brakes at both ends. The single LED headlamp gives it a unique stance while the alloy wheels add to its appeal.
Coming to the features that set it apart, the e-scooter has been equipped with a unique LCD instrument console that offers information like battery percentage, speed, temperature as well as other basic features. The LCD console gets a cubby apron at the front. In addition to these, the e-scooter also gets several noteworthy features like keyless start, Anti-theft alarm, reverse assist and more. The electric scooter from BattRE competes in the Indian market with the likes of Flash LI and the Optima LI, Ampere Vehicle’s Reo and V48.
