BGauss D15 Electric Scooter Makes Official Debut at Rs 1 Lakh

Indigenous electric scooter maker, BGauss, has debuted its third electric scooter, the D15, in the country. This scooter is offered in two variants called the D15i and D15 Pro, and they are now available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999 and Rs 1.15 lakh, respectively. As far as the delivery commencement is concerned, the deliveries of the scooter are going to start in June, and the interested buyers can book the scooter by paying a token amount of Rs 499.

The BGauss D15 is marketed as a premium electric scooter with a high level of safety. Its smart battery and motor controller are developed and constructed in-house at the Chakan factory. The BG D15 is waterproof, with an IP 67 certified electric motor and a battery that is resistant to intense heat and dust. Powering the scooter is a 3.2 kWh Li-ion battery that offers an ARAI certified 115 km ride range. This battery takes 5 hours and 30 minutes to be fully charged.

The D15 is loaded with features that set it apart from the rest of the electric scooters on the market today. The huge 16-inch alloy wheels, for example, aid in mobility and ride comfort even on bumpy roads. The scooter also has a digital speedometer and Bluetooth connectivity that is accessible via a smartphone app. The other features on offer are a keyless start, a replaceable battery pack, an inbuilt navigation system, a USB connector for mobile charging, and call and notification alerts.

Speaking of the launch of the D15 electric scooter, Hemant Kabra, Director, RR Global & Founder and Managing Director, BGAUSS Auto Pvt. Ltd. stated, “We are excited to launch a 100% Made in India electric scooter, BG D15 which is designed and developed by our in-house research and development team in Pune. The product quality and its functionality are a testament to BGAUSS Electric’s goal of offering best-in-class mobility solutions.”
