BS6 Honda Activa 125 Recalled in India: According to recent reports, the BS6 Honda Activa 125 has been recalled by the brand considering the issues with the cooling fan cover and the oil gauge. The brand will be replacing both the cover as well as the gauge while the user manual for the scooter will also be updated.
There has been no official confirmation on the issues faced by the defective components though the reports confirm that the Japanese brand will be replacing the faulty components altogether and they will not be modified or repaired.
According to the brand, the entire process of inspecting the BS6 Honda Activa 125 and solving the issue will require no more than 30 minutes while the customers will not be charged with any fees for the rectification.
All the customers have to do is visit the Honda two-wheelers services campaign website and enter their scooter’s VIN number to know if their scooter needs to be recalled by the brand under the services campaign.
To jog your memory, the BS6 Honda Activa 125 was launched back in September 2019 at a starting price tag of INR 67,490 (ex-showroom Delhi). It was the brand’s first-ever BS6-compliant product that is now powered by a 124cc, fuel-injected engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 8.1HP @ 6500 rpm. The brand has further equipped the scooter with Honda’s PGM-FI HET (Honda Eco Technology) and Honda Enhanced Smart Power (ESP) that helps in reducing the overall combustion and offer a much cleaner ride.
The scooter is further available to the customers in three variants: front disc brake with alloy wheels, front drum brake with alloy wheels, and front drum brake with steel wheels. All the three variants of the scooter can be availed in the market in Rebel Red Metallic, Black, Heavy Grey Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, Pearl Precious White, and Majestic Brown Metallic colour schemes.
