The BS6 Suzuki Access 125 has been officially revealed and it is all set to be launched in January 2020. It is the first-ever BS6-compliant product from the brand while the price of the updated scooter is expected to be announced at the time of the official launch.
Commenting on the upcoming BS6-compliant Access 125, Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said: “We are thrilled to announce our first BS-VI product way ahead of the regulation enforcement deadline of 1st April… We are confident that the All-New BS6 compliant Access 125 will be adored even more by Indian consumers. The All-New Access 125 comes loaded with new features which will further enhance the overall riding experience for the customers.”
The brand has further offered the 2020 variant of the 125cc scooter with an all-LED headlight set up in addition to offering an external fuel filling lid as well as eco-assist illumination. The eco-assist technology allows the rider to understand the fuel-efficient riding pattern via a green light indicator on the console.
Powering the BS6 Suzuki Access 125 is a 125cc fuel-injected engine that is capable of generating maximum power of 8.7hp at 6,750rpm and a peak torque of 10Nm at 5,500rpm. The fuel injection technology allows the engine to offer smoother power delivery. On the other hand, the BS4 model of the Suzuki Access 125 offers 8.7hp at 7,000rpm and 10.2Nm of torque at 5,000rpm.
The scooter has been further equipped with an easy-start system while the all-LED headlight setup offers optimum illumination at night. The braking duties will be handled by drum brakes at either side while the brand is expected to offer the front disc brake as an option. In addition to this, Suzuki is also planning to roll out a Special Edition variant of the BS6 Suzuki Access 125 which will feature a USB DC socket for mobile charging on the go.
