Gemopai Electric, a Delhi-based vehicle manufacturer has launched another electric scooter in the Indian market by the name Astrid Lite. The scooter gets a price tag of INR 79,999 and will be available across 50+ dealerships in India and Nepal.
A result of a joint venture between Green E-Mobility and Opai Electric, the Gemopai Electric has already commenced the bookings for the Astrid Lite e-scooter though, the deliveries are expected to start in October. The customers can avail the e-scooter in Eclectic Neon, Deep Indigo, Fiery Red, Burnt Charcoal and Fireball Orange colour options.
Manufactured with a touch of superior styling and better performance, the Astrid Lite scooter has been specifically developed to ease the commuting in India while at the same time working best as an eco-friendly option. The front fascia of the e-scooter features an LED headlight setup mated to LED DRLs to offer it a unique look. The brand has equipped the Astrid Lite with a digital console in addition to offering keyless ignition, anti-theft alarm as well as a standard USB charging port.
The e-scooter is powered by a 2400W motor that is capable of offering maximum power of 4000W. The motor is further mated to a 1.7kW removable lithium-ion battery. The suspension duties on the Astrid Lite are handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The e-scooter features a single disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear mated to Electronic Assist Brake System (EABS).
The three riding modes offered to the electric scooter are Sports, City and Economy, which guarantee a range between 75km and 90km which can be further extended to 150-180km via an additional battery. The sports mode is good for offering 75kmph of top speed while the rider can opt for city mode for riding in traffic and economy mode for maximum efficiency.
