Mahindra Gusto CBS Officially Launched in India: Mahindra has launched the CBS-equipped variants of Gusto 125cc and 110cc scooters in the Indian market. The addition of new Combi Braking System (CBS), which is now mandatory for vehicles under 125cc displacement, has strategically added to a price hike varying from INR 2,340 to INR 2,816 for both the Gusto variants. Here is the new price list of multiple variants of Mahindra Gusto CBS:
The brand is yet to equip the RX variant of the Gusto 110 with the Combi Braking System. Apart from this, the Gusto 125 DX has been pulled off from the portfolio recently.
Besides the addition of CBS, the Mahindra scooters retain their technical specifications as well as the features. The Gusto features a remote key system in addition to being equipped with a guide lamp as well as find-me lamps. The scooters have also been equipped with adjustable seat height to accommodate riders of varying proportions.
Powering the Gusto 110 is the same 109.6cc engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 8HP and 9Nm of maximum torque while the Gusto 125 gets its power from a 124.6cc that generates a max power of 8.5HP and a peak torque of 10Nm.
Both engine variants are mated to a CVT transmission. The suspension duties on both the scooters are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with conventional shock absorbers. Both the 125cc and 110cc scooters feature drum brakes at either end.
The Mahindra Gusto competes in the market with the likes of Honda Activa, Hero Maestro, Suzuki Access, Yamaha Fascino, and the TVS Jupiter. In addition to this, the brand is also planning on launching the electric variant of the Gusto, which will be based on the underpinnings of the currently available petrol version, though getting an all-electric powertrain.
