Resurrected after 14 years, the Chetak moniker has been offered to the all-new electric scooter, which will line up in the company’s portfolio under the Urbanite branding. Coming to the retro design, the Bajaj Chetak electric gets an overall neat look that complements its unique and premium bits. The brand has offered the electric scooter with a round headlamp setup mated to a round LED DRL.
The curvy body panels in addition to a comfortable seat further accentuate its premium looks. The e-scooter features an IP67-rated lithium-ion battery mated to a 4kW electric motor while the rider can further operate it in two modes namely: Eco and Sport, offering a range of 95km and 85km respectively.
In terms of suspension setup, the Bajaj Chetak electric gets a single-sided trailing arm unit at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties are handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear mated to CBS (Combined Braking System).
The brand has offered the Bajaj Chetak electric with a fully-digital instrument panel in addition to offering six colours namely: Blue, Red, Ivory, Black, White, and Gold. Apart from the Ather 450, the e-scooter from Bajaj will compete with the likes of scooters from Okinawa, Ampere, and Kymco22 in the Indian market.
