Ola Relaunches The S1 Electric Scooter With Rs 1 Lakh Price Tag

On the occasion of Independence Day, Ola Electric relaunched its Ola S1 electric scooter in India at its Mission Electric 2022 event. In addition to the Ola S1 electric scooter, Ola teased their electric car, which is currently in development and will be available in 2024. A limited edition Khaki colourway of the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter has also been announced.

The Ola S1 has been introduced as a less expensive alternative to the Ola S1 Pro, and it will operate on the same platform and feature the same design as its more expensive sibling. The Ola S1 is built on the same platform as the Ola S1 Pro and has the same design. It is available in five different colours: Porcelain White, Neo Mint, Red, Liquid Silver, and Jet Black.

It runs the same MoveOS software as the Ola S1 Pro and will be compatible with all future updates, including MoveOS 3.0, which will be available after Diwali. Ola S1 battery capacity is 3kWh, while the Ola S1 Pro battery capacity is 3.97kWh. The ARAI-certified range of the Ola S1 is 141km, 128km in True Range Eco mode, 101km in normal mode, and 90km in Sports Mode. The Ola S1 is capable of a top speed of 95 km/h.

The Ola S1 was initially released on August 15th, 2021, but was discontinued in a contentious move in January of this year, presumably due to the company’s focus on the more expensive Ola S1 Pro.

The Ola S1 electric scooter costs Rs 99,999 in India (introductory), while the Ola S1 Pro costs Rs 1.39 lakh. Between August 15th and August 31st, the Ola S1 can be reserved for Rs 499 on the Ola Electric app or the company website, with deliveries beginning on September 7th.
