Suzuki Avenis 125 Launched in India at Rs 86,700; Rivals TVS NTorq 125

Suzuki has finally introduced its all-new product, Avenis, to the country today. It is a 125cc scooter that is offered in a sporty design and multiple colour choices. It is available at a starting price of Rs 86,700 (ex-showroom). This is the third offering by the company in the 125cc scooter market after Access and Burgman Street. The scooter is more premium than the Access 125, but in terms of pricing, it has been placed pretty close to Burgman Street 125.

Suzuki Avenis 125 includes a slew of new features that, according to the manufacturer, will appeal to the scooter’s key target group, which is young folks. The Suzuki Ride Connect feature, along with a large all-digital instrument console, and a Turn-By-Turn Navigation system, is one of the scooter’s primary attractions.

Looking forward to its mechanical specifications, a 125cc engine with FI technology powers the new Suzuki Avenis. This engine is claimed to produce 8.7 PS at 6750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm, and it is mated to a CVT gearbox.

In terms of design and style, the Suzuki Avenis somewhat resembles the TVS Ntorq 125. The all-new Avenis features body-mounted LED headlamps with vertical LED DRLs, Avenis badging on the side body panels, a split-type grab rail, a wide single-piece seat, a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, twin triangular LED tail lamps positioned above the turn indicators, a sleek front apron with cuts and creases, and an angular short black windscreen.

Moreover, the scooter gets a USB charging port, an external fuel filler and a side stand interlock. The scooter weighs just 106 kg. However, it is worth mentioning that the all-new scooter is 2 kg heavier than Burgman Street.

The 2022 Suzuki Avenis 125n comes in four standard colour options: Lush Green with Grey, Blaze Orange, Mirage White, and Matte Black. In addition to these colours, Suzuki is also offering a Racing Edition, which is available for Rs 87,000 (ex-showroom). In its segment, the Avenis competes with the likes of TVS Ntorq 125, Aprilia SR 125, Honda Grazia 125, Yamaha Ray ZR 125, and the Hero Maestro Edge 125.
