In September 2022, Honda’s Activa remained at the top of the sales charts. With 2,45,607 units sold in comparison to 2,45,352 in the same period in 2021.
TVS Jupiter was the second most popular scooter in the country last month, selling 82,394 units. When compared to the same period in 2021, volume increased by 46.2% year on year.
Suzuki Access 125 came in third selling 46,851 units in September 2022. It sold 45,040 units in September 2021 with a YoY positive sales growth of 4.02 per cent in the domestic market.
TVS Ntorq 125 finished fourth, with a total domestic tally of 31,497 units. It sold 29,452 units, and a YoY sales growth of 6.94% last September. Honda’s Dio finished fifth with 29,994 unit sales versus 34,557 units, a 13.2% decrease year on year.
Last month, Hero Pleasure+ was the sixth most popular scooter in the country. With 19,682 units versus 21,648 units in September 2021, sales are down 9% year on year.
Hero MotoCorp’s Destini 125 finished seventh with 14,951 units last month, up from 12,358 units a year ago.
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 finished eighth with a total domestic sales of 12,875 units. It sold 8,669 units in September 2021, a 48.5% increase year on year.
Yamaha Fascino finished ninth with 10,348 units compared to 14,244 units last year, a 27.3% drop year on year.
Last month, TVS Motor Company’s Pep+ was the tenth most popular scooter in India. 9,518 units were registered versus 7,259 units, representing a 31.1% increase in volume year on year. The scooter market is expected to be very active before the end of the year.
