TVS Motor has officially launched the NTorq 125 Race Edition in India at a price tag of INR 62,995 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Equipped with LED headlamps as well as LED DRLs, the next-gen NTorq scooter features the slogan “Clear the Roads for What’s Coming”.
The Race Edition of the NTorq scooter gets a premium of INR 3000 higher than its standard variant which is currently available in the market at a price tag of INR 59,995. The bookings for the new model are now open while the deliveries are expected to begin in the coming weeks.
The halogen lamps setup available on the standard model of the TVS NTorq lagged the headlight intensity required by a premium scooter in the 125cc range. In addition to featuring LED headlamps, the new NTorq 125 Race Edition gets LED DRLs mated to the headlight in a T-shaped design.
The front fascia of the scooter now also features two air vents above the headlight setup that adds to its sporty appeal. The scooter features a “Race Edition” logo on the side panels while the three-tone colour scheme of matte black, metallic black, and red further offer it a fresh look.
Being one of the top 5 best-selling scooters in the 125cc segment, the TVS NTorq supports a unique design language sporty enough to have been inspired by a fighter jet. The already existing premium features of the standard TVS NTorq have been carried to its Race Edition variant as well.
The customers can further use the TVS Connect (SmartXonnect) application to connect their smartphone with the Bluetooth-enabled instrument console equipped on the NTorq 125 Race Edition. The application offers real-time riding dynamics to the rider while at the same time helps in easy maintenance as well as riding. The brand is also expected to update the application with more features in the coming days.
Powering the TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition is the same BS4 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled carburetted engine that is capable of offering a maximum power figure of 9.4HP and 10.5Nm of peak torque. The braking duties on the scooter are handled by a disc brake at the front while the rear features a drum brake. The NTorq 125 Race Edition gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. The scooter also features a hazard lamp that can be operated via a button on the handlebar.
