Yamaha Majesty S, an all-new 155cc maxi-scooter has been revealed in Japan which will offer a tough competition to the upcoming Aprilia 160 SXR. Launched at a price tag of JPY 3,45,000 (approx INR 2.38 lakh), the Majesty S features a sportier design language. The brand has equipped the scooter with a LED headlight that has been mounted just below the front apron. The headlight is further mated to LED strips while the turn signals have been housed inside the side panels.
The single-seat saddle features a raised pillion seat which imparts the maxi-scooter with a distinguished look while the alloy wheel setup adds to its premium outlook. The LED taillight setup has been mated to side turn signals while a pillion grab rail has been offered for extra comfort and safety.
The brand has equipped the Yamaha Majesty S with a three-pod semi-digital instrument cluster that features an analogue tachometer in the centre, a fuel gauge as well as other indicators on the left side while the right side features a digital speedometer, clock and more.
The front apron of the maxi-scooter has been equipped with a 12V DC socket for mobile charging while the under-seat storage has been offered in ample amounts. Powering the scooter is a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 15HP and a peak torque of 14Nm. The scooter is capable of offering a company-claimed mileage of 40 kmpl.
The Yamaha Majesty S is expected to reach the dealerships in Japan by April 10 if the COVID-19 situation permits. The customers will be able to get their hands on the maxi scooter in four colour schemes namely Silky White, Metallic Grey, Metallic Black, and Vivid Yellow.
