Skoda Auto India has taken the wraps off the Slavia sedan ahead of its arrival in the country early next year. The new Slavia officially replaces the Rapid sedan in India’s midsize sedan segment, and it is built on the company’s locally adapted MQB-A0-IN platform. Bookings for the all-new Slavia has commenced already from today and interested people can book the same through the brand’s official website or authorised dealerships. As far as the deliveries are concerned, the car will be delivered to the customers in the first quarter of 2022.

In terms of design and styling, the 2022 Skoda Slavia gets plenty of attractive features like the iconic butterfly grille with black vertical slats and chrome bezel upfront, accompanied by LED projector headlights with integrated LED DRLs on each side. The lower portion gets a honeycomb air dam as well as a pair of fog lights. The model’s side appearance is enhanced with new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, contrast-coloured ORVMs, Slavia badging on the front fender, and blacked-out B-pillars.

Moreover, for passenger safety, the car has six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, traction control, a seat belt reminder system, multi-collision braking and many more. Under the hood, the forthcoming Skoda Slavia is offered in two engine options, a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, TSI petrol engine that generates 115HP and 175Nm of torque and a  1.5-litre, four-cylinder, TSI petrol engine which is capable of generating 150HP and 250Nm of torque.
